Cheers to LIFE!

"Drinking beer doesn't make you fat. It makes you lean against bars, tables, chairs, and poles."

Drink Moderately, a government reminder that is imposed in every advertisement of alcohol. Surely the government wouldn't want its citizens to always get drunk but they don't have the ability to control the amount of blotto people everyday. Everybody has the freedom to drink and drown itself to alcohol, however, there are some undesirable effects.

Too much drinking causes heartburn and daily beer consumption may lead to increased blood pressure. Another adverse is that a small amount of beer may trigger our attention and motor skills resulting to unwanted accidents. In addition, no one could escape the thing called hangover, dizziness, headache, and a bit of stomachache. This is because alcohol reduces the activity of the central nervous system resulting to dehydration, intoxication, and hangover. Finally, the most unwanted effect of beer, the "beer belly". Beer gives extra package of abdominal obesity.

Though beer gives objectionable effects it doesn't mean that we don't get any benefit from it. Alcohol drinking is a source of vitamin, beer is rich in vitamins of the group B and magnesium. Moderate drinkers also have a low risk of coronary heart disease and reduced risk of developing kidney stones. But the most inviting effect of beer is that it makes us more intelligent. Beer damages our brain cells but it only damages the cells that are weak and inferior. As a result only the superior brain cells are left, making our brain work faster and more efficient. Not to worry about the dead cells because cells constantly subdivide to form a new and active cell. Beer can also make our simple life happy and memorable.

So to all beer lovers out there, don't get affected by what others say that beer is not good for you. Get up and join the fun on bars! Party all night, dance with the music and feel the beer as you drink for your thirst. Have a good time for you only live once, enjoy everything while you can! Drink 'til you drop! Cheers to life!

Greatness in PAIN

'Pain is whatever the experiencing person says it is, existing whenever he says it does" -Margo McCaffery

According to what I have read in Wikipedia, PAIN, in the sense of physical pain, is a typical sensory experience that may be described as the unpleasant awareness of a noxious stimulus or bodily harm. Individuals get acquainted to pain through various daily hurts and aches, and occasionally through more serious injuries or illnesses. Enough of this already, who cares about physical pain? That's not the kind that interests me.

Emotional pain, something that you get when you lose someone. Pain that can be felt by those who had their hearts broken. Why does pain last long while others can easily swipe it out and move on? Because they probably don't have a hard time accepting things. Or plainly because they are good in hiding their real emotion and make everybody else believe that they're fine. There is no easy way on making pain disappear, every human being always finds it hard to make it go away, it's how we handle pain that makes the difference.

If you are hurt and bleeding don't mourn because in pain there is greatness. Pain is hated. Nobody wants to feel rejected, nobody wants to be left alone, but weither we like it or not, pain exists and it's a part of our life. Pain is inevitable, to reject pain is to reject life itself. To make life worth living, we should embrace pain, feel it, cuddle it, for once pain leaves us we become stronger and a better person. Pain is temporary. It will eventually subside and something else will take its place. It takes time but to wait is worth doing. Pain is valuable. In pain we learn and we acknowledge its help once we realizes the goodness it did to us. In pain there is hope. We hope that after the pain, we become at peace and that happiness is felt once again.

To make the world balance, for every happiness that you feel there is pain. Everything in life may cause pain. If you get hurt, feel the pain.

"It redoubles joys and cuts grief in half." -Francis Bacon

Yes it's true, friends redoubles our joys and cuts our grief in half. They can make a simple lunch into a memorable one and can save our ass in times of trouble. But in a person's life, a few can only be called real friends. In life, not all people you meet stays and not all becomes true to you as a friend.

"Fair - weather" friends are those who stays during good times. People who are always there whenever they find the moment happy and enjoying but eventually will leave you hanging in times of trouble. On the other hand, "Friends of the road" are the persons who you meet and hang for a while but the moment of bondings won't last. These are your childhood friends that you used to play with, high school friends that you used to hang with, or even friends you meet during your vacations in other places. These are the people that you meet on your life's journey but disappears when your road splits. "Friends of the heart" are the most worth having. These are your real friends. The persons who never leaves and always stays. Not even distance could make your friendship end for the communication never fades. They know you from head to foot, they know the experiences you have encountered, and they were there to help you grow. However, this is the kind of friends you have the fewest.

In our life's travel we meet plenty of people, from different races and different culture, but only few of them stays. It doesn't matter who stays and who leaves, the important thing is the relationship you build with them and the memories that you will treasure for the rest of your life. Find people worth trusting, trust people worth having.

Falling in LOVE

Tuesday, May 13, 2008 comments: 8
"Falling in love" is a mainly Western term used to describe the process of moving from a feeling of neutrality towards someone to one of love. The usage of the term "fall" implies many things: that the process may have been in some way inevitable or uncontrollable, risky or putting the lover in a state of vulnerability, that the process is irreversible, or all of these things. The term is generally used to describe an (eventual) love that is strong, although not necessarily permanent. -Wikipedia

The feeling that they say no one can resist. What do you really feel when you say you're falling in love? Is it something that crawls in your veins? Is it something that makes you shiver? Is it something that makes your heart beats faster? Is it something that makes your eyes shimmer, and makes you smile naively? Or is it just a feeling that you recognize because of the attraction that you have towards a person? Falling in love comes in different ways. Sometimes you fall for that person because he/she cares so much about you or you simply just fall for him/her because of ignoring you. You may completely fall because of the cute smile or the pretty face. But no matter what you feel or what reason lies behind, you just can't help ignoring it.

However, we have different reactions on the feeling of "falling". Some people get too excited, some get scared, some just don't mind about it and happily accepts the fact that they're falling in love. Why do these reactions vary? Plainly because each of us have different perception when it comes to love and the act of getting into it just happen to make us go crazy. But do you know that there are only two important characteristics that makes a person fall in love? Intelligence and kindness. These two factors are the things that we discover in people when we get to know them well. Intelligence is important in all aspects in life and kindness is extremely the factor in a long term relationship. Attractiveness doesn't connect in these two things. It's true that the more attractive the person is, the more romantic relationships that person gets, but it doesn't help a lot. Even the less attractive people can have a long and romantic relationship. We also fall for someone that we feel is also attracted to us. This kind of mutual understanding between two people nurture more the feeling of falling in love. We take this as an opportunity and when we perceive this, we feel the surge of exhilaration.

Falling in love may be hard to ignore but that doesn't mean that it will not fade. You may feel falling in love but this may change depending on what you will find out more of that person. Sometimes you only get attracted on some of the characteristics that gets to be noticed easily. But no matter how long, how fast, or how often you fall in love, bottom line is we all get to experience this, and it's one thing that we can't escape or avoid.
